Whenever human activities involve the burning of fossil fuels, carbon dioxide is emitted. This waste accumulates in the atmosphere, contributing to global climate change, unless it can be captured and stored by plants.
A Carbon Footprint measures the demand on biocapacity that results from burning fossil fuels in terms of the amount of forest area required to sequester these carbon dioxide emissions. This does not suggest planting forests is the 'solution' to climate change, it shows that our biosphere does not have sufficient capacity to sequester all the carbon we are currently emitting.
Solar, wind, hydo, geothermal, fuel cell, cogeneration, biofuels etc, America has an abundant of clean energy resources. To harness them, we must cap global warming pollution and use our expertise in science and technology to combat the issue.
Here at IMS we are utilizing our years of experience and knowledge of entertainment, construction, architecture, engineering, science, manufacturing and technology to come up with new green innovative ideas to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, minimize Americas carbon footprint and provide solutions to the ever changing global economy.
