Remove water from the top of your above ground pool cover, prolonging the life of your pool. Requires, No electricity, No Pumping, No moving part, and little effort!

WHY DRAIN YOUR POOL COVER? As rainwater fills the top of your pool cover the weight of the water causes the cover to pull on the sidewalls and the frame of the pool therefore loosening the fittings, bolts and support posts. If too much water collects on the cover, the walls of the pool can collapse. It is easier to keep your pool cover clean from leaves or debris if it remains dry.Bugs, such as mosquitoes, which can carry disease, are attracted to the water on top of your pool cover.

Directions: see the video at         http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWBGQDS_lzQ  or click the link below.

Put the nozzle end of the drain hose onto the top of the pool cover balancing on the edge of the pool and adjust the depth by swiveling at the elbow joint and couplink between the two black hoses.

While holding the nozzle elbow on the pool edge, scoop and fill the funnel with the pool cover water

.

Raise the funnel high above your head; the water will begin to drain.

As all the water drains out of the funnel back into the pool cover, gently throw the funnel straight to the ground (Whipp-it).

And in just seconds your pool cover will begin to drain out the funnel.

HELPFUL HINTS: A large amount of tree leaves on your pool cover may temporarily clog or slow your pool drain. Removing these leaves will ease in the drainage of the water. If your pool is located on a hill, drain your pool cover from the down hill side of the pool facing the funnel opening down hill. If the water does not drain from the funnel when it is held up high above your head, you may have to purge the air out of the hose. This is accomplished by either repeating the directions stated above or with the funnel full of water and held high above your head, lift the middle of the hose up and let it down repeatedly until the air is released from the hose and water begins to drain. (Note: this usually only happens when the funnel is lifted too fast above the operators head or dry). Take care of your pool drain so that it will last you for many years. Do not leave your pool drain out in severs hot or cold weather.  A small amount of water can remain on the pool cover; this will not damage the pool and will evaporate quickly depending upon the temperature. If you are draining the pool cover to remove it, additional weight can be added by the pool drain nozzel to collect the water to a central point. Always refer to the cover manufacturers recommendations for drainage prior to use.
